New Times Shipbuilding delivers 299,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel tanker
On 16 June, New Times Shipbuilding delivered a 299,500 DWT LNG dual-fuel crude oil tanker, designed to align with ongoing regulatory and industry-driven efforts toward maritime decarbonization.
The tanker is a very large crude carrier (VLCC). It is fitted with LNG dual-fuel propulsion technology, enabling operation on both conventional marine fuels and liquefied natural gas. This dual-fuel configuration is designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve fuel efficiency compared with traditional heavy fuel oil-powered VLCCs.
